Hello everyone!

My names Jonny and like many of you, my goal is to build my very own Ecto-1.

My original plans was to find a 59 Caddy, but then I absolutely fell in love with the HHR. Busted my ass for a year or so and grabbed myself a brand new 2008 in Summit White.

I've looked at what a lot of people have done with their Ecto's and I'm going to go the route of not making it 100% accurate to the real deal but doing it very close to with a new age touch.

with the blue prints I've found on the site, after X-Mas I'll start working on my roof rack!

any helpful hints will be more than welcome!

I made sure when I bought mine that it had roof rails. That's how I'll be attaching mine.

Ironically enough the Salt Lake City Busters also got a white HHR to make into and Ecto so there will be three out there, but I'm sure each will be unique and awesome in their own way.

The HHR is actually a good candidate for a "modern" ecto I believe, there is surprisingly alot of space in the back, as we utilized to transport out packs to Comic-Con 2008 this past July.  We fit 5 whole packs and a few misc. items in the back.  And could have put a third person as well!

I'm greatly looking forward to what you'll do with your HHR Johnny.
